It is composed of intoxicating notes of opulent white flowers: gardenia, tuberose and jasmine. Most of all I feel nuts, gardenia, woodsy notes and a hint of vanilla in this fragrance. A tad too pricey for me to commit to for daily wear, but definitely worth having in my collection. The addition of other typically Givenchy notes gives it a joyful edge which is feminine and warm. There are frosted bottle testers all over ebay right now, and I grabbed a 100ml bottle. White florals of gardenia, tuberose, and a nutty spicy aroma with vanilla, this is classic elegance. The combination is incredibly exciting; soft vanilla in the base tames the voluptuous luxuriance of the floral heart. The fragrance is classy and it reminds retro, but not too much. For a woman who enjoys sensuous spicy and flowery notes intermingled with a little wood. Superb longevity, and wonderful sillage which could be heavy if applied too much( easy on the trigger!
Organza is a magical mix of classical sensuality, delicacy and warmth, a hymn to eternal beauty possessed by every woman. I find this fragrance calms and uplifts my mood, too. I assumed, wrongly, that this would be easy to pull off. I wear this scent most often on cold, rainy, lazy fall days (like today) and it makes me want to cuddle up in front of the fire with my coffee and have a chat with my mom on the phone.
An attractive bottle designed by Serge Manseau is the embodiment of virtues of this fragrance, which is oriental-floral, warm and sweet. A classic for adult women without earning the “old lady scent” label. I have a vintage frosted bottle of edp and am wearing it today. It is a joyful white flower with some woodiness which tempers the sweet so it is softer and more sophisticated. It's not my favorite fall scent for myself (that goes to Armani Mania, which incidentally my mom bought me over 10 years ago for my 18th birthday- I'm now on my 3rd or 4th bottle) but it will always hold an extra special place in my heart that no other scent comes close to (except maybe Erox Realm which my mom also loves.) In a world full of gourmand and foodie fragrances, let us not forget what a classic floral oriental is,and this is one of those, stunning!
It starts with an intense nutmeg pungent white floral smell and a few minutes later the flowers distance themselves and you start smelling a very warm vanilla induced spicy Jasmine and tuberose and gardenia.
It does have e very rich woody background; and is well blended with a ton of notes.
It's a striking yet delicate fragrance, and I love it! So, from my experience, the house of Givenchy has always specialised in making distinctly feminine perfumes.
In the sense that the one this reminds me of (which my mother used to own) was Ysatis, which again was a very grown up and feminine fragrance.
With Organza, I get a sweet honeyed jasmine with supporting notes of tuberose and gardenia.
There's also orange flower and honeysuckle and this really comes across as another variation on a sweet, white floral. Al-Rehab BALKIS is a potent, gorgeous dupe for this classic.
Givenchy's Organza has been a love at first sniff for me.
