Gloria is preceded in death by her Father Sonny Finley, Mother Sue Finley, Daughter Shaunell Whitworth, Husband Gordon Whitworth, Brother Lee-Roy Finley, Auntie Alice Ignace, Goddaughter Maurita Dawn Pierre and Baby Ezmae Sherwood. Dean was tragically lost in a car accident in 1971.
She was also an accomplished seamstress, quilter, crafter and painter.
Family gatherings and holidays were her favorite times.
In the 1990’s Norma went back to school and earned an Associates degree in medical records and eventually worked for CSKT.
She raised gardens, canned and was a wonderful cook and baker.
Norma was the oldest of four girls and had a very large, extended family.
She was born in Polson on April 1,1939 to Elwood (Shorty) and Leota (Dottie) Noel Joy. She would find love later in life marrying Gordon J. Gloria worked for Tribal health for years then switched to the Salish Culture Committee and work until she had passed. She graduated from Polson High School in 1957 and married her high school sweetheart and first husband, Dean Redekop in 1958. As a child, Norma’s family lived in various homes around Polson, but her fondest memories were of the years she lived in the Mountain View area, in the shadow of the beautiful Mission Mountains.Arrangements are under the direction of The Lake Funeral Home and Crematory.Darlene Anna Mc Clure Lafley Darlene Anna Mc Clure Lafley was born April 26, 1939, St. She went to join her Ancestors on January 30, 2018 at Missoula Community Hospital surrounded by her loving family.Sean will be carried out by his brothers, Brandis Black, Dan Mays, Royce La Fromboise, Dominic Martinez, Doug Wynn, Carlos Hernandez, Charles Tenas and Bennett Horseman.
