Apr, 2012 by Aaron Giombolini in Training The New Mexico Coalition Against Domestic Violence in partnership with the New Mexico Attorney General’s Office and All Families Matter is sponsoring a day of workshops in four locations throughout New Mexico.
The afternoon will feature a workshop with Jordon Johnson from All Families Matter on creating inclusive spaces for the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender community. The workshop explores the different types of dating violence, signs that a teen is in a violent relationship and ways the teens handle these relationships.
You can sign up for one or both of these 3-hour workshops. This workshop discusses some different types of dating violence including, but not limited to, emotional and physical abuse, birth control sabotage, reproductive coercion, digital dating abuse and domestic minor sex trafficking.
She currently sits on the Intimate Partner Death Review Team which reviews facts and circumstances surrounding intimate partner and sexual violence related deaths in New Mexico and leads a statewide program which offers training and technical assistance to law enforcement, social service providers, school staff, community members and students about issues surrounding teen dating violence. He works closely with local community leaders and organizations to advance services for LGBT people in New Mexico.
He is committed to developing sustainable community-based programs and services with local and national partners.
